Japanese Language

By Fayeeh Mac

The Japanese language is called Nihongo. There are three different sets of characters. The Kanji or chinese characters, Hiragana and Katakana that is derived from Chinese ideograms. Learning Japanese Language needs time and concentration. As a foreigner (gaijin) here in Japan, it took me two years to learn Katakana, Hiragana and a few Kanjis. There are also many booklets that are sold in bookstores that contains Japanese phrases and translated in English. If interested in visiting Japan, be sure to grab your basic booklet in learning Nihongo.
